Vancouver is the newest high-density metropolis in North America, having developed most of its density since 1970. With the opening of the world's first driverless rapid transit in 1986, it's long been a leader in North American transit.
Jarrett Waker worked on-site at the region’s transit agency, TransLink, during 2005-6 and again in 2011. In these roles he helped lead the development of service design policy, including a new series of service brands. He also served as the transit expert on teams developing redevelopment plans for rapid transit station areas.
Since 2011, JWA has been under contract with TransLink continually. We have played a variety of roles supporting the service planning staff throughout this period.
